We can accommodate groups up to 300 people depending on room arrangements. The following are our general conditions, however, we reserve the right to protect the asserts of the facility and to adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, codes, and statutes
PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT POLICY
We require a signed commitment with a non-refundable deposit of $2,000.00 or 25% (whichever is greater) of the estimated total
cost in order to guarantee your date and event. Full prepayment (including estimated food and beverage charges) is due two weeks before your event. A credit card must be
on file for late incidental requested or additional needs as you request.
FOOD POLICY
At the Chanhassen Event Center due to business licensing and insurance requirements, we are responsible for all food prepared at our venue and do not allow outside food to be brought in due to the interest of safety and liability.
Wedding cakes are a very personal item. Please consult your Event Coordinator for suggestions on a perfect dessert for your event. However, we do welcome outside wedding and celebration cakes provided by a licensed bakery. Due to health department regulations, we must provide all food and beverages, beyond wedding or celebration desserts.
FOOD TASTING
A food tasting may be pre-arranged through your Wedding Specialist at least one week in advance. Your tasting is complimentary for four people. A fee per person will be applied for additional guests.
SET UP & EVENT CLEANUP
You are responsible for the set-up of room decorations for your event(s). This includes table centerpieces (aside from the complimentary items we provide), table favors, place cards, etc.
No confetti, glitter, sand, silly string, rice, birdseed or fresh flower petals are allowed in the event center.
We can assist you if needed, at the rate of $28.00 per hour per employee needed to complete your request.
Upon leaving the area, please have all items removed from the event center.
We reserve the right to charge a fee if the condition of the area after an event deems this necessary at the rate of $50.00 per hour per employee needed to complete the cleanup.
WEDDING GIFTS & CARDS
Please assign someone from your event to take care of wedding gifts and cards. Please have them removed from the room before the event has ended.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
DELIVERIES
Flowers, cakes or any perishable items delivered more than 3 hours before your function must be by arrangement. Please have all deliveries clearly labeled with your function name and date. Chanhassen Event Center is not responsible for personal items and must be taken with you at the conclusion of your event.
MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
All music must end by 12:00 am. It is important for your Entertainment to contact your Wedding Specialist regarding set-up times, location of equipment, power needs, etc. We have the right to control the volume of your entertainment.
AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT
A range of audio/visual equipment is available for rent; please see your Wedding Consultant for details.
COAT CHECK
Available upon request, please ask for details.
We do not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles brought into the facility.
VALET PARKING
Please ask for suggestions.
PHOTOGRAPHS
We can suggest a photographer/video professional or you may use a photographer/video professional of your choice.
SMOKING POLICY
Minnesota is a smoke-free state for all public building. Guest must be 50 feet away from the door.
TAXES & SERVICE CHARGES
Please note that all food and beverage prices are subject to a 21% service charge, 6.875% Minnesota State sales tax and 9.375% State tax on Alcohol.
Please note that the 21% service charge is not a gratuity, and is distributed at the discretion of management.
GUARANTEES
The final attendance for all events must be specified 2 weeks in advance. Once received by your Wedding Specialist, the number is considered a guarantee and is not subject to reduction but can be increased within reason. We will be prepared to serve 3% over the guaranteed number for plated dinners and approximately 5% for buffet service. The amount charged would be the guaranteed number or the actual number served, whichever is greater.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation notice must be in writing via email or US mail. All deposits are non-refundable.
BEVERAGE POLICIES
We require 1 bartender per 100 guests. Beverage service with bartenders has a minimum of $800.00. If bar generates less than $800.00 the difference will be charged to the client. Keg beer is exempted from this minimum.
As the client, you are responsible and accountable for the behavior of your guests. Please help us enforce responsible drinking behavior so that your event will be a success. The following is our policy, which has proven effective and discreet:
No liquor will knowingly be sold to or consumed on the property by any person under the legal drinking age of 21. Identification cards will be requested for any persons who appear to be under the age of 40 and must be provided by the person to purchase an alcoholic beverage.
No liquor will be sold or consumed by any person who, in the opinion of appropriate staff, is or appears to be intoxicated. This is a state law.
In an effort to control alcohol consumption, the staff may proceed as follows when a problem is developing:

Payments:
Though we prefer checks as a payment we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Sorry, the Discover card is not accepted at this time. Additionally, the check must clear prior to your event; this is the reason for payment prior to the event. A credit card is required for incidentals and for overages of beverage consumption; this will be discussed with your Event Coordinator.
